Excella’s Mahreen Rashid Appointed Chair of Homestretch Board of Directors

Arlington, Virginia and Falls Church, Virginia, September 10, 2024 – Excella, a leading Agile technology and innovation firm, and Homestretch, Inc. today announced that Executive Vice President of People Services, Mahreen Rashid has been selected to serve as chair of the Homestretch Board of Directors.

Homestretch, a non-profit organization based in Falls Church, is dedicated to addressing the root causes of homelessness for Northern Virginia families and reversing it by providing crucial support, including a place to live and the tools to become self-sufficient. Rashid has dedicated over a decade of volunteer service to Homestretch, including three years on the Board of Directors, with the last two years as vice chair.

Rashid’s passion for the organization supports an ongoing partnership between Excella and Homestretch through Excella’s award-winning ImpaX community investment program. For over a decade, Excellians have contributed time, money, business and technical expertise and leadership to Homestretch. At the company’s annual employee conference, ExcellaVision, Excellians take time to aid Homestretch in a wide variety of ways, including painting houses, staging new homes, packing lunches and more. Past work has included upgrading IT systems and helping Homestretch clients gain new careers and life skills.
